Testimonials

FAQs

  • The purpose of this trip is to create connection, adventure and impact. It is to engage donors with the girls they support and the team in Mozambique and to give firsthand experience of the Kurandza's impact, while experiencing the beautiful country of Mozambique (and South Africa if opting for the extension).

  • Current or future sponsors and donors and their significant others, family members, or friends are welcome to participate in this trip! We would love to meet you!

  • With each trip participant, we are working to support local communities by bringing awareness to their culture and providing them with educational opportunities. Each time we travel to Mozambique, we give back to the local community in some way through a service project.

  • If you have the time and resources, we recommend choosing the 9-night option. There are two Big-5 safari game drives each day, and all-inclusive meals at a 5-star safari lodge in the beautiful Greater Kruger National Park. There will be down time to spend by the pool, on a bush walk, or you can book an optional spa treatment or hot balloon ride. The added benefit to staying two more days is also more time to relax and enjoy Africa.

  • Prices are based on double occupancy. Most rooms have two twin beds and some rooms have a king-sized bed, so it's suggested to sign up with a friend or family member, or you can make a new friend on this journey! If you are a solo traveler, it may be possible to pair you with another solo traveler to provide separate beds in a shared room. Ask about this if interested. You can also upgrade to a private room if desired.

  • Yes! Contact us and we will provide you with the upgrade cost for a private room.

  • Fundraising during the trip allows participants to actively contribute to the ongoing projects and initiatives that benefit the local community. It's a way to support our shared goals and make a tangible difference while experiencing the impact of our efforts firsthand.

  • We encourage participants to consider fundraising independently to support their trip. Independent fundraising not only helps cover the costs associated with your journey but also raises additional funds that directly contribute to the ongoing development and support of the Kurandza community initiatives we are involved with.

We can give you tips and resources on how to have a successful fundraiser. Reach out at info@kurandza.org for more information if interested.
